Eastman Road Race
Our History & Mission

the Eastman Road Race has a rich history of serving our region. We've hosted thousands of runners and walkers. Young, old, fast, slow - we welcome them all.

It all began on Sep. 20th 1980 as the "Kodak Centennial 10K Road Race", celebrating Eastman Kodak's 100th anniversary. View the original press release.... The entry fee was free! Even now this event strives to be an affordable, healthy outing for the entire family. And very often, those family members start out in our Youth Runs, only to progress to the 3K and 10K events as they grow older. "A lifetime of fitness".

Which brings us to our Mission... to encourage healthy lifestyles in our community. If you don't run, then walk. If you don't walk, then volunteer. Our strategy is to use enticements like low entry fees, premium shirts, and premium socks to draw people out on raceday. And since they're designed for fitness, you can continue using those shirts & socks long after the event is over. Keep moving!
